I can't praise Mike King and Carol King enough for this unforgettable experience. Who would have thought that little old me would one day perform on the stage of a New York City jazz club. Certainly not me, not in my wildest dreams. I have to thank Mike for his tremendous tuition, musicality and extreme patience because he gave me the confidence that I'd never had before.
Of course when we weren't singing we were out and about with a wonderful itinerary arranged by Mike and Carol. As well as visiting jazz clubs we went to Broadway and enjoyed the fabulous show, 'The Color Purple'. What an amazing night that was! In addition to all of this Mike took us to Ground Zero which was very moving and on our last day we spent a wonderful, sunny afternoon in Central Park.
I can honestly say that my singing holiday was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone."

"It is a challenge to describe the full Barbados Singing Holiday experience! It takes your heart, your soul and your body. A couple of years ago I attended an 'open day' (organised by Mike in London) to see if I could possibly sing with a choir. I have always wanted to sing but never really had the opportunity and certainly never the confidence. Well, that changed that day. I felt included and supported immediately even though I am a very nervous and new singer. I signed up for their UK Weekend Singing Retreat and was blown away by Mike and Carol and the other singers who were there. I vowed to go to Barbados. I made it this year! I would give it 10 stars if I could. The most idyllic beach location. Right on the ocean. A glorious villa where we were looked after royally and where the chef cooked us amazing local dishes. We sang in the mornings and then had the afternoons free - to sing some more perhaps whilst lolling in the calm sea, or to catch a bus or taxi to explore local sights and fab restaurants, or to curl up with a book, or to spend time in the company of the other singers. The group was great. We had some incredible voices and then a range down to my novice attempts. Having said that, I was supported and encouraged at every stage. I was never once made to feel silly or incapable. The warmth and inclusion of Carol and Mike and the other singers was tangible and I was made to feel confident enough to sing a few lines on my own for our little local concert at the end of the trip. It was all fabulous and.... I will do it again! Thank you Mike and Carol, and my new friends."
